The 2022 Amateur Golf Alliance Women’s Amateur Championship will be hosted by Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington, Texas. The tournament will take place on Monday, May 23rd to Thursday, May 26th. Registration opens on Wednesday, February 9th at 9:00 AM (Central). Registration closes on Wednesday, May 4th at 5:00 PM (Central). The exempt player deadline is Wednesday, March 23rd at 5:00 PM (Central).
A $24 million project, Texas Rangers Golf Club involved a total renovation and updated routing of the existing Chester W. Ditto Golf Course. The course renovation, under the direction of famed course architect and Arlington native John Colligan, commenced in mid-December 2016. The club’s 23-acre practice area includes a double-ended range, a practice hole and two short game areas.
Entries are open to female amateur golfer who have reached their 23rd birthday on or before the first round of competition (May 24th). Golfers must have a USGA Handicap Index of 6.0 or less. There are two playing divisions; Championship and Senior. The Senior division is open to golfers who have reached their 50th birthday. Both divisions are WAGR ranked and top finishers will earn WAGR points. The format is 54-holes of individual stroke play, with 18-holes per day. The field is limited to 72 players. The official practice round is a shotgun on Monday, May 23rd at 2:00 PM (Central).
